Default Emergency Chargers for mobile phones

    Cellphone chargers

For Mobile phones a charger without using the mains adapter is possible.
The adapters are quite small and use Switch Mode Power Supply mode
circuits to avoid bulky step down transformers 230V A.C` to say 5V or 6V

Even from car battery outlet it can be charged. ( a small electronic circuit
needed to step down voltage/regulate current )Usually the basic principle
is to give the required voltage say 2.4V or 3.6 V or 5V as a trickle charge
(steady current ) for say 3 to 6 hours.

Emergency lamps come with a 6V battery and it can be suitably connected
to a small circuit to charge the mobile phone.OR get 2 0r 4 rechargeable
    batteries , for emergency use.

I will measure the cellphone charger adapter voltage and will update info
here. (or what is marked in it ) one is marked 5V= D.C .7 Amps.

    Incidentally, Most ADSL modems need 6 V at 1 AMP D.C= or A.C ~~~

Emergency chargers are so important for iphones, as they battery of an iphone doesnt last as long as its should do. With lots of applications which are used, and notifcations of netwokring sites and news sites it eats up the battery. Its good that phones can be charged when in the car as well.....thats a big life saver.

There is one called power monkey which also has a solar panel. I like that gadget and it is also capable of charging a laptop or tablet not just mobile phones.

You get the mobile battery banks these days which work as a emergency charger. There are different brands to choose from which come at a range of prices.

I find the color of the band a bit happy and gay Otherwise the phone is very snappy especially the speed of taking pictures one after the other. Will wait for your review.

Yeh true, but I only wear it when I workout, so it doesnt really bother me. The new phone Mi3 has a choice of colors for their bands.

Small chargers that sell for Rs800-900 are useless. Those chargers will not even give you a 50% charge. Get a larger battery if you want any meaningful power backup. Power monkey as suggested by Admin above is a costly affair. There are plenty in the range of Rs1500-2000 on Flipkart.

How much does this power monkey cost? I'm OK when it comes to my phone battery I'm fine because the battery lasts a good 3 days without charging. This power monkey device seems handy for my laptop.

Power traveler 3W is Rs6300 on Amazon UK. Cant be much different in India as they have 22%VAT that we dont so price might even be lower.
