    Default Refrigerator for a change.

I have an old Kelvinator refrigerator that came with the house I bought a few years back and it works fine. However, it is a side by side and now the seal on the freezer side pops slightly open when I open the refrigerator side. I have solved this problem temporarily with duct tape but I would like to see a fridge in my kitchen that is not yellowed out with age. Any experiences would be appreciated. It's not about the money it's about quality.

If the fridge is working fine on the whole, get the gasket repaired and if required, get it replaced. There is no point replacing a fridge just because it looks slightly yellow. One can get it (spray) painted also.

If you are compelled to buy a new fridge, then go ahead. But do not buy a new fridge because of "what will the neighbours/relatives say".

Do you still want a side-by-side fridge? We got a new fridge recently and I didn't know this before but there is now such a thing as a separate door on the fridge where you keep your most accessed items. What a good idea! We purchased an LG side by side fridge with the wonder door and we're absolutely loving it, especially since we have a big family and people open and close the fridge like every hour or so.
