    Hi everyone.....................
1.There are are two key factors to choose a best office air conditioning:
    a.British Thermal Unit Rating
    b.EER Number.
2.To buy a ideal office air conditioning lookout of an best air conditioner dealers who offers air conditioner exclusively for office purpose.
3.Moisture let out of the air conditioner should be controlled because high emitting of moisture is hazardous to health.
4.Maintenance of office air conditioners is very important.
5.Look out for higher quality of variable speed thermostats that cools the space efficiently in a less span of time.

Another ket factor make sure its a 5 star, so it will use less electricty. For those who are not bothered about the electricty consumption or costs then you can even choose a 1 star...

I would like to add that it is advisable to buy an ac with inverter compressor to save on electricity and it also ensures there is lesser fluctuation in temperature in the room as it is constantly working.

I have three ACs at home - two of them are 2-star while the third is 4-star. I doubt whether they make any significant difference - maybe marginal, yes, but nothing substantial.

But a five star compared to a one star would make some difference, for someone who wants to use an about also wants it to use less electiricty they would opt for the five star, as even the little amount of difference would matter to them. Not saying that your wrong, but in a point of view of others who worry about expenditure of running an ac the stars would matter.

That is what they say!!! I have some doubts. As I said, my statement is qualified by the adjective "significant". I did not say it makes no difference. I am speaking for personal experience of course and have no scientific facts or proofs.

    Yes the math is simple
The more the star the lesser the electricity bill and than
If you take a low star like a 2 or 3 star Ac than the electric city Bill is high so basically taking a 5 star is like paying more now and paying less in bills forever

I just spend Rs34000 on a water cooler which is the largest I could find anywhere so bought it. I have set it up on the 5th floor (terrace) and it is keeping all the 5 floors cool till now with temperatures going upto 41degrees during the day. One major benefit is that it brings in fresh air from the top of the building and going through wet pads takes out whatever little dust that air has so the building gets lesser dust now. The greatest benefit is that till now we have not turned on the air conditioners and the kitchen chimney doesnt need to be turned on either because there is a small window which is left open with air going out of there all the time.

600 watts is the consumption of this cooler and I am hoping to recover the whole Rs34000 this year in electricity cost savings if we wont need aircons for the next two months. Water tank of this cooler is 450litres and it empties in less then 10 hours so I have got a pipe fixed into it with a float ball valve.

I will write a detailed thread on this. I have managed to get two of my friends to buy water coolers and they are loving it. Those of us who have grown up using aircons believe that water coolers are somewhat cheaper solution but I researched a great deal into this subject before spending my money and it is well worth it. I would only need to switch off the cooler and turn on aircons when monsoon hits. As long as air is dry outside this is going to work like a charm.

The star rating of an air condition matters only in an official setting. The star rating reduces the cost in places where the AC works almost all the day long. But for general household purposes, the ACs are usually not used throughout the day. Therefore, the star rating does not make a huge difference, rather it does not make any difference at all.
