Default Top Digital Cameras In India

No matter what smartphone you take pictures with, and no matter how much the world advances, there抯 nothing that compares to taking pictures from a dedicated (digital) camera. Like rest of the techno world, digi-cam sellers are at a neck-to-neck level competition, and this particular post is about those top cameras that leave the rest behind, based on factors such as light weight, easy on the pocket, high pixel resolution, etc.

    Canon IXUS 120 IS
For all those obsessed with clicking tons of photos and uploading them over social networking sites, this sleek and simple-to-use digi-cam is the way to go for you! The IXUS 120 is easy to work with, even for the ones with large hands. Not to forget, the small yet apt size makes it a perfect fit in your pocket. And talking about pocket, this digi-cam comes at a reasonable price of Rs. 9780.

It抯 known for its HD camera quality, holds true for even the videos, and is HDMI-out. The 12 megapixel camera has a 2.7-inch LCD display and a 4x optical zoom. There are three modes to choose from, and while taking videos, the resolution is capable of going up to 720 p. However, you won抰 be able to optically zoom your device while recording a video.

Smooth and stern, the device captures good snaps and even if you don抰 know what a certain feature in the device does, the revamped menu will help you through. Though you will get mixed reviews for the camera in terms of performance, there抯 a reason- the camera is still one of those point-and-shoot kinds, while many others have advanced well ahead.

    Sony CyberShot W320
One of the most popular and classiest cameras in market, this Sony production has a bucketful of features to impress its users. It is a 14.1 megapixel camera with a 2.7-inch LCD display, giving crisp and crystal clear images. Do take note of the impressive zoom technology of up to 18x. Another smart feature is the way shakes are handled- with two simultaneous snaps taken and then combined together by the device to automatically produce a better, stabilized picture.

There are numerous shooting modes to select from, 8 potential face detections per shot, full metering available, proper self-timer and more, to multiply the camera抯 functionalities and value. Not just these fancy features, the stylish body and slim design make the camera easy-to-handle, and are very popular amongst the photo-freaks who love capturing every moment, just at the drop of a hat! This Sony digi-cam comes for the price of Rs. 8990, and seems to offer much more than it asks for. A must have!

    Nikon L-Series COOLPIX S400
Nikon抯 latest L series which took over the previous S-series is fully loaded this season, and this COOLPIX digi-cam comes with the new 3.0-inch touch-panel containing high resolution and special 460,000-dot LCD screen, all giving it amazing color clarity along with other top-class touch features such as Touch Shatter, Subject Trakking and more, all for you to explore once you lay hands on this gadget. The 12-megapixel device comes with 4x wide-angled zooming which enhances the picture quality, ISO sensitivity of the 3200 range, HD videos capable of resolutions up to 720 p, scene selector (auto), etc.

The camera comes in many vivid and attractive colors to suit every individual抯 preference- black, pink, bronze, gloss champagne and red. The model has an estimated weight of 131 grams, optical and digital zooming upto 4x, full metering, and 190 shots availability. You can run this device on both the Mac and MS windows OS. The format for images supports jpeg, only. All in all, the bottom line to the gadget is an effective model in the market, at the cost of Rs. 9950.

    Samsung PL100
If you抮e unwilling to compromise on looks, this is the best for you in terms of Indian digi-cams, coming with many good functionalities and undoubtedly, a sharp picture quality. The PL100 comes at the price Rs. 9630, a few hundred more or less, and seems completely fair with the results it brings.

It抯 loaded with a 12.1 megapixel lens, has HD video recording that goes up to 720 p resolutions, has good face detection, red eye reduction and self-timing features. The camera has only 3x optical and digital zooming though, a notch down from the other cameras in market. Under the range of Rs. 10,000, this is probably one of the best buys around. Take note of the unique dual-display feature which helps perfect your self-portraits and what not!

    Panasonic Lumix DMC FH3
Panasonic抯 going the extra mile to come up with fine-looking, metallic-bodied digi-cams at your doorstep. The FH3 is a point-and-shoot featuring device with ample amount of features to make its price of Rs. 10,000 worth it! To begin with, the camera has a high quality lens of 14.1 megapixels, refining every image and giving you striking results. The digital zooming goes up to 4x, and the optical zooming is one more, at 5x.

An advantage with this camera is that you get as many as 310 shots or a battery life of 2 hours at a go, with obvious rechargeable Li-Ion batteries. The camera supports SD cards to expand the memory storage, another one of its plus points. Like most other digi-cams in market, the Lumix FH3 has the necessary features like proper face detecting, image stabilization, reduction of red-eye and a self-timer. There are plenty of modes and small adjustments to give you great images, even in night-mode.

There are tons of cameras and lots of competition to make you get off track while choosing the right one for you. Hope this little compilation eased your task!

I think Sony Cybershot still remains to be one of the best cameras.
