Angry Domulr Agent is charging 1000 for installation

According to railwire it is free installation, no activation, no deposit. Where as teh aganet in Domlur is charging Rs 1000 for connection which is non refundable. The amount will go to agent and there are no proofs that you have paid that advance.

Be careful when paying any advance to the agant for Railwire connection

    Dear Sir,
am a railwire user, and i got healthy quality speed. anyway tariff plan is very less i cant we give 1000 rupees for installation.

railwire has give only links at railway station. but the agent are implement through the OFC and CAT 5, managing switch and unmanaged switch...etc. railwire giving only a links. but total 10 conectivity is there means agent has to spend 1.5 lakh for covering his area.

So 1000 rs is not a costlier instead of Sify platinium, airtel...etc.
    be happy

Thumbs down Railwire is of no use and is frustating

These agents charge 1000-1500 rs claiming they need to pay for upkeeping of the cable being laid by railwire. Also monthly charge is more than other brands, for 1mbps unlimited its 1320 per month in my area which is atleast 200-300 more than other brands. Also the agents lack technical knowledge and are mere cable TV guys who have entered this business and are of no help during installation issues or during service issues.
I am staying in Seegehalli and activated this last month as BSNL was yet to start operations in that area. Am really fed up of this service as Its not an always on service, need to login thousand times you try to connect. The direct connection without a modem to a wifi router is not able to give the wifi router a proper IP unless you configure it to be a Wireless access point which restrict its usage to only one device.

This service is favored by those who constantly keep on downloading (80-100G) per month. For users whose range is upto 10G and are looking for a better speed+cost, its always better to go other brands.

Also the agent's service agents dont know how to behave or talk properly.

If this is the reasoning given by the local dealer, I'd say it is the crappiest unprofessional response.

The guys who have entered business acting as local liasion of Railnet, must have known well in advance what they are getting into. If Railnet is advertising free installation, how can these chaps cite any reason what-so-ever for charging 1000/-. When you start a business, especially a franchise, you need to be completely aware of what the franchaisee is marketing their plans nationally as, and you need to work out profits margins, investment accordingly.

This is nothing but the local cable wala (type) goonda/mafia... it is same everywhere. Best is not to go thru them, if you can, look for alternatives.
