Default What is your torrent speeds on railwire?

Hi. It's nice to be a member of this forum where I came across so many posts by helpful people. This will be my first post here.
My friend has metronet and get around 10 megabytes per second(for torrent with good peers eg: popular linux iso) even though he has 512 kilobits plan for surfing web and watching videos. Will railwire work the same way? I asked the customer care person about torrent cache and did not know what I was talking about(maybe I was using wrong term to describe it?).

Railwire does not have peering enabled as far as I know. It is not called torrent cache. Those files that are available within the ISP's own network get higher speeds due to peering if the ISP has peering enabled.

Thanks for the clarification. Is there any way to tell if a broadband has such features from their websites though?

I am yet to come across a website that mentions this clearly on their website. I believe the best way is to ask the ISP itself or those who use them and see what they have to say. Peering does not gurantee higher speeds for torrents for every file, just those files that are being seeded from within the ISP own network and is not speed restricted.

Those ISPs that have peering enabled are the ones that have most amount of infected computers in their network. I personally do no like such providers due to the amount of attacks that come in.
